After months of sheltering in place and social distancing, we hope you and yours are well! As we slowly and safely begin to move forward with Public Health guidance, it’s no surprise San Jose is poised to be one of the “10 US Cities Best Positioned To Recover From Coronavirus”.
With government officials now approving construction activities with required safety protocols, the County of Santa Clara has launched its online permitting center as well as the new process for requesting building inspections during the Covid-19 shelter in place order.

Especially with the Bay Area real estate market and economy being among the most resilient in the nation, this week we read with interest this quote on Realtor.com:
“Now’s the time to start thinking about renovating. If you’re thinking about renovating your home this year, this might actually be the perfect time to take the first steps," says (Tom) Ashley. “Most renovations require a couple of weeks to a few months to develop plans, determine a budget, and make selections. Most companies can offer some type of virtual meeting to help make the process safer,” he explains. Homeowners can take photos and send them to contractors to evaluate the project. “This will end, and those who are already in the process will get to skip most of the wait and move forward to the construction part when the dust settles.”
We couldn't agree more! If you are thinking about your first or next home remodel project, have questions, or would just like to kick around some ideas, check out our gallery and let’s chat!
